FRIED OYSTER - Penang Street Food

Ever tried an omelette that has juicy, succulent oysters instead of mushrooms? If you have not, you probably have never had Penang's famous Fried Oyster

Just imagine this - fragrant omelette that is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with oysters so fresh, succulent and juicy. This dish of Fried Oyster is a mixture of tapioca flour batter, chives and eggs fried in a flat cast iron wok. Fresh oysters are added and the omelette is fried till golden brown. The oyster omelette is then garnished with chopped spring onions and served with a side of sweet and sour chilli sauce.
A plate of Fried Oyster costs from RM6.00 onwards. Do look out for the halal sign before you place your order as some stalls include lard in their cooking.
